Transportation

To and from classes:

If you do a homestay, we will try to arrange your homestay within walking distance of the school when possible. When that isn´t possible, we will help you connect with the bus route or taxi pick-up.
If you do the shared home option, transportation is provided.
If you stay in one of the local hotels, you can easily get taxi service or the hotel can help you find the nearest bus route. You can aslo rent a car thru most of the local hotels.

Airport pick-up.
The school can pick you up at the airport for a cost of US$30. Just ask and we will arrange this for you.
Some of our students are interested in taking tours and seeing the sights. For such students, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are the days for tours and they are offered in the afternoons. The costs are very reasonable since the school does not make any profits from the activities. There is no maximum quota to fill. The school takes tours even if there is one person.

Transportation goes well with some activities. Below is a list of schedules related to various activities and tours.
- Mondays: We take you to the Colonial city of Granada –needs to be specified in your final plan--. Places to see are the old cathedral, the Central Park, and the San Francisco museum. On the 2nd and 4th weeks, we take you to San Juan Del Oriente. The place to see is the Mirador overlooking the Laguna De Apoyo. The bus leaves at 1pm and returns at 5pm. $6-$10 is the total cost of these activities.

- Wednesdays: We take you to the Catholic cathedral in Managua and the museum at the National Palace. On the 2nd and 4th week, we take you to the Roberto Huembes Market. The bus leaves at 1pm and returns by 5pm. The total cost of these trips is between $2 to 44.

- Fridays: We take you to the Old Market and the Mercado Nuevo situated in Masaya on the 1st and 3rd week. On the 2nd and 4th week, we take you to the four churches - Iglesia San Jeronimo, Catedral de Masaya, Iglesia San Miquel, and Iglesia Monimbo’ situated in Masaya. The bus leaves at 1pm and returns by 5pm. The total cost of the trip is $5.
